The Mrs. Tabor

Listening to 'The Mrs. Tabor' was like being transported back to the gritty, gold-rush era of the American West. Liz Leafloor's narration is nothing short of exceptional. She captures Baby Doe's essence perfectly, from her youthful naivety to her steely determination. The pacing is spot on, keeping the story moving at a clip that's both engaging and suspenseful. The only critiques I have are minor; at times, the supporting characters could use a bit more development, and there are a few moments where the historical context feels a tad heavy-handed. But these are mere blips in an otherwise outstanding audiobook experience.
