Where some dating advice books drown in anecdotes, this one keeps it crisp, with real scenarios pulled from Virginia’s own life—like the time she turned a disastrous networking event into a confession of mutual attraction. That said, the book leans heavily on the idea that social anxiety can be “cured” through sheer willpower, which feels reductive given how complex that struggle can be.
