As a listener, I was immediately drawn into Addison's quest to find her birth mother, a journey that quickly takes a dark turn. Ann Marie Lee's narration is stellar, capturing the essence of each character, from Addison's determination to the small-town residents' guardedness. The pacing is excellent, building suspense with each revelation. However, some of the plot twists felt a tad predictable, and I found myself wishing for a few more surprises.
