The Possession of Mr Cave

Mark Meadows' narration is the star of this show. His voice is a perfect match for Terence Cave, capturing the character's quiet desperation and growing unraveling. The way he handles the more surreal elements of the story is particularly impressive, bringing a sense of eerie plausibility to the supernatural. The pacing is excellent, building tension masterfully, and the production is clean and unobtrusive. However, the story does veer into the overly melodramatic at times, and some of the more fantastical elements feel a bit too convenient. But these are minor quibbles in an otherwise outstanding audiobook that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end.
