Editor's Review ★★★★☆

AudioBook Atlas

I was drawn into 'The Secret' from the very first chapter, thanks in no small part to the dynamic narration duo of Alexander Cendese and Iggy Toma. Cendese's smooth, confident voice is the perfect match for Micah's cocky exterior, while Toma imbues Constantine with a vulnerable depth that had me rooting for him from the start. The pacing is spot-on, building tension and anticipation as the two chefs circle each other like predators. I particularly loved the way Archer weaves the art of cooking into the story, using it as a metaphor for the characters' emotional growth. However, I must admit that the occasional info-dumping about the culinary world felt a tad heavy-handed. Despite this minor quibble, 'The Secret' is a thoroughly enjoyable listen that'll leave you hungry for more.
