The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo

As a listener, I was immediately drawn into Evelyn Hugo's world, thanks to the exceptional narration. Each narrator brought a distinct flavor to the story, with Alma Cuervo capturing Evelyn's youthful spirit, Julia Whelan her poignant vulnerability, and Robin Miles her later-in-life wisdom. The story itself is a wild ride, filled with glamour, heartbreak, and more than a few surprises. Reid's writing is sharp and engaging, and she masterfully reveals Evelyn's secrets in a way that keeps you on the edge of your seat. The pacing is perfect, balancing slow-burn revelations with explosive twists. However, some of the secondary characters could have been more fully developed. Overall, this is a must-listen for fans of drama, romance, and a healthy dose of old Hollywood glamour.
