The Shaman

As a listener, I was immediately drawn into Victor Cavalier's plight, thanks to David Tredinnick's powerful narration. Tredinnick's ability to convey the raw, visceral emotion of a parent's fear is nothing short of exceptional. The story itself is a captivating blend of medical mystery and international intrigue, with a dash of the supernatural thrown in for good measure. Perry's writing is tight and engaging, and the pacing is excellent, keeping the tension high throughout. However, I found some of the supporting characters a bit one-dimensional, which was a slight letdown in an otherwise compelling narrative. Overall, 'The Shaman' is a gripping, unique listen that will appeal to fans of international mystery and suspense.
