As someone who's been burned by over-promised urban fantasy narratives, I was pleasantly surprised by The Stars That Sing. From the opening lines, Joseph Vernon's narration pulls you into Samara and Cornelius's world, and you can't help but be swept away by the lyrical cadence of Tullbane's writing. The story's pacing is impeccable, slowly building tension as the characters navigate the perils of their unforgiving environment. However, the lack of clear, in-depth character development for supporting characters occasionally leaves you feeling disconnected from the story. Despite this minor flaw, The Stars That Sing is a captivating listen that will leave you eagerly anticipating the next chapter in Samara and Cornelius's epic journey.
