Editor's Review

AudioBook Atlas

I was thoroughly engrossed in The Tall Man, thanks in large part to Tuppence Middleton's captivating narration. She brings a sense of intimacy to the story, making the listener feel like they're experiencing the protagonist's terror firsthand. The pacing is expertly handled, with Locke ratcheting up the tension to almost unbearable levels. One minor quibble is that some of the supporting characters feel a bit underdeveloped, but this is a minor complaint in an otherwise gripping narrative. My only other criticism is that the production could have benefited from a more nuanced sound design to enhance the atmospheric tension. Overall, this is a compelling and unsettling listen that fans of psychological thrillers will devour.
