Listening to Sashenka is like being transported to the frost-kissed streets of St. Petersburg, where the air is thick with revolution and romance. Tuppence Middleton's narration is a joy, her ability to switch between accents and tones making each character distinct and engaging. The story's pacing is excellent, building tension and suspense as the revolution unfolds. I particularly enjoyed the intricate portrayal of the Romanovs and the intimate glimpse into the lives of the nobility. However, I found the story's resolution a tad rushed, leaving me craving more. Despite this, Sashenka is a compelling listen that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
