The Vampire Knitting Club: Cornwall

Initially skeptical about a vampire knitting club, I found myself completely absorbed by 'The Vampire Knitting Club: Cornwall'. Narrated by the excellent Piper Goodeve, whose warm, engaging tone perfectly captures Jennifer's dry wit and the villagers' distinct personalities, this cozy mystery went from unlikely to utterly charming. Warren skillfully balances the supernatural elements—the delightful eccentricities of the vampire-yarn society—with genuine Cornish atmosphere and relatable character dynamics. The story moves at a brisk pace, though some very specific yarn types mentioned could initially slow the mind's eye, but it's an authentic part of the vampires' world. Goodeve's narration elevates the material, making Jennifer's slightly sarcastic observations and the gentle gossip of Tregrebi just right. While the premise is slightly niche, it works brilliantly, offering a comforting escape with a twist. My only mild criticism is that while the lore is established clearly, some later, more fantastical elements feel slightly glossed over for plot speed, but otherwise, this is a highly entertaining listen.
