The Virus Collection

I devoured 'The Virus Collection' in record time, and I'm not just talking about the audiobook's nearly 30-hour runtime. Simon Aitchison's narration is a standout feature, his ability to switch between accents and tones making each character distinct and engaging. The pacing is relentless, with action sequences that had me on the edge of my seat, and quieter moments that allowed me to catch my breath before the next wave of terror. Lee's world-building is impressive, with a virus that mutates and evolves, keeping both characters and listeners on our toes. My only critique is that some of the more philosophical discussions between characters can feel a tad heavy-handed at times. But that's a small price to pay for a story that keeps you up at night, wondering what you would do if the world as we know it came crashing down.
