As someone who enjoys a good mystery, I found myself captivated by The Weedless Widow. Samuel E. Hoke's narration was top-notch, with each character having a distinct voice that made it easy to follow the story. Hoke's pacing was perfect, keeping me engaged and on the edge of my seat as the plot unfolded. I appreciated the way the author used the small-town setting to add depth to the story, with the Northwest Territory Bait and Tackle shop becoming a central character in itself. However, I did feel that some of the minor plot points could have been fleshed out more to add to the overall coherence of the story.
