Those Summer Fights

As a listener, I was immediately drawn into the world of Jack Jenkins and his team, the Knuckleheads. Robin Shay's narration is nothing short of exceptional. She expertly captures the essence of each character, from the gruff, determined Jack to the young, eager team members. Shay's pacing is spot-on, building anticipation and tension during the fights, and slowing down to allow the characters' emotional journeys to resonate. The story itself is a beautiful balance of action and heart, with Aird's writing style making it easy to become invested in the team's success. My only critique is that the world-building could have been a bit more expansive, but this is a minor quibble in an otherwise outstanding audiobook. Those Summer Fights is a fantastic choice for listeners who enjoy action-packed stories with a strong emotional core.
