I’ll admit, I was skeptical when Cheds opened with the line, ‘I’ve made every mistake in this book—multiple times.’ Most trading books promise hard truths but deliver vague platitudes, so it was refreshing to hear someone admit they blew up accounts A, B, and C before finding consistency. His narration is conversational to a fault, at times feeling like he’s improvising, which works surprisingly well for keeping the energy high. The pacing is relentless, though that’s a double-edged sword—there’s no filler, but some key concepts (like position sizing nuances) fly by without enough pause to absorb. The production is clean but minimalist; you won’t get cinematic sound design here, just crystal-clear dialogue that puts the focus entirely on the content. My biggest gripe is the lack of concrete trade examples in audio format—this would’ve been perfect as a companion to a PDF with charts and annotations. That said, the authenticity shines through. Unlike authors who hide behind ‘systems,’ Cheds owns his scars, and that’s worth the listen alone. If you crave a no-BS reality check, this is your guy.
