Tropic Descent

Scott Brick’s narration is nothing short of exceptional, making every sentence feel like a dive into a thick book. His ability to shift between characters’ voices and emotions adds depth to the story, especially when Luke Angel tries to unravel the mystery surrounding the dead pilot and unconscious woman. The pacing is tight; there's no wasted time, which keeps you hooked until the very end. However, some minor dialogue clichés occasionally break the tension, reminding us of its literary fiction roots. Nonetheless, this audiobook offers a compelling mix of action and intrigue that’s hard to resist.
