Un colpo al cuore

I was hooked from the first chapter. Pulixi's prose is lean and mean, with a unique Italian flavor that sets it apart from your typical American thriller. The story is a cat-and-mouse game between the vigilante and the detectives on his trail, with a twisty plot that kept me guessing. Maggiore's narration is outstanding, capturing the grimy atmosphere of Milan and the desperation of the characters. My only critique is that some of the supporting characters could have been more fully realized, but that's a small quibble in an otherwise outstanding audiobook. This is a must-listen for fans of dark, gritty crime fiction.
