AudioBook Atlas

I went into UNEARTHLY with high expectations, and while Virtual Voice's narration certainly did not disappoint, I couldn't shake the feeling that the collection as a whole felt slightly disjointed. At times, the stories felt like vignettes rather than fully fleshed-out tales, which made it difficult to become fully invested in the characters and their plights. Despite this, I found myself drawn back to the audiobook time and time again, eager to see where King's twisted imagination would take me next. The pacing is quick and relentless, hurtling the listener from one unsettling scenario to the next with little respite. If you're a fan of short stories and the horror genre, UNEARTHLY is definitely worth a listen. Just be prepared to sleep with the lights on – and maybe a few extra batteries in your smoke detector.
