About This Audiobook

When identical twins share the same face but not the same love life, chaos is inevitable—and Eden Finley’s *Unwritten Law* leans into the hilarity with sharp, snappy romance. Narrated with crackling chemistry by Antony Ferguson and Joel Leslie, this audiobook delivers a playful sibling dynamic where one twin’s romantic disasters become the other’s unintended consolation prize. The setup is simple: our unnamed narrator helps his twin brother, Noah, break up with his latest boyfriend—again—but the execution is anything but. Finley’s prose crackles with wit, and the twins’ banter feels like overhearing two best friends with zero patience for bad romance. Production value shines, particularly in the narration, where Ferguson and Leslie distinguish the twins with subtle vocal cues, making it easy to track who’s who without relying on tired comedic tropes. The audiobook thrives on the friction between familial loyalty and romantic interference, all wrapped in a charmingly messy package where good intentions collide with disastrous timing. If you crave romance with a side of sibling rivalry, this one delivers with style.

Editor's Review ★★★★

AudioBook Atlas

I went into *Unwritten Law* expecting a fluffy romantic comedy, but Eden Finley’s debut hooked me with its razor-sharp dialogue and unapologetically messy protagonists. The unnamed narrator (voiced with dry, understated charm by Antony Ferguson) is the kind of guy who’d help his twin brother sabotage his own love life—just to save him the trouble of doing it himself. The humor lands hard, especially in Noah’s (Joel Leslie) increasingly absurd dating history, from a cheating ex to a guy who insists on calling him “Chad” despite his protests. The narration elevates the story further; Ferguson and Leslie’s interplay feels like a well-rehearsed stage act, with Leslie’s Noah oozing petulant charm and Ferguson’s narrator exuding the weary patience of a long-suffering saint. That said, the plot occasionally stumbles into reliance on contrived misunderstandings—by the third breakup, even the narrator rolls his eyes at Noah’s pattern. Still, the audiobook’s production is top-notch, with just enough musical cues to signal tone shifts without overshadowing the dry wit. If you love rom-coms where the real chemistry is between the characters off-screen, this one’s a gem.
