Editor's Review

AudioBook Atlas

As a fan of both vampires and Australian accents, I was immediately hooked by Vampires in Australia. Kimberley Gundani, Michelle Dowlan, and Angelina Jeyarajah do an excellent job of bringing their interviewees to life, their enthusiasm infectious. I particularly enjoyed their discussion with a local makeup artist who's worked on several vampire productions, offering fascinating insights into the practical side of creating the perfect vampire look. The pacing is brisk, never lingering too long on any one topic, keeping the listen engaging throughout. However, I did find the transition between narrators could sometimes be a bit jarring, and I wish there had been more context provided for some of the interviewees. Overall, though, this is a fun, informative listen that's perfect for vampire enthusiasts and anyone curious about Australia's entertainment scene.
