Bauer, meanwhile, turns Matilda’s chaotic energy into pure joy—her delivery of the infamous *“Ich liebe dich, du Idiot”* is the audiobook equivalent of a standing ovation. The chemistry between them crackles, but the production isn’t flawless. A handful of supporting characters get short shrift (looking at you, secondary love interests), and the final act rushes a bit too hard toward resolution, leaving some emotional beats feeling undercooked. That said, the flaws are minor in a story this propulsive. The pacing is relentless, the banter razor-sharp, and the payoff—when Quinn finally *gets it*—hits like a gut punch.
