I devoured Want Me in one sitting, unable to tear myself away from the tumultuous relationship between Sophie and Max. Lance Greenfield's narration was a big part of the appeal - his voice has a certain rough-hewn quality that perfectly captures the grit and grime of the story. What I particularly appreciated was the way Eden tackles themes of trauma, consent, and power imbalance with sensitivity and nuance. Sophie's a complex, multidimensional protagonist who's equal parts flawed and relatable, and I loved watching her navigate the treacherous world of law enforcement. One of the few missteps came in the climax, where the plot felt slightly rushed and the stakes didn't quite land as they should. Still, this is a minor quibble in what's otherwise an exceptional audiobook. If you're a fan of romantic suspense, look no further - Want Me is a must-listen.
