Warmage

Naeymi's narration is a standout feature of Warmage. She expertly captures Shaya's evolution from a naive young woman to a hardened warrior, imbuing her with a quiet strength that's utterly compelling. The pacing is excellent, balancing action-packed battle scenes with quieter moments of introspection. Stevenson's exploration of imperial politics is particularly impressive, with plenty of twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat. However, the sheer number of characters can be overwhelming at times, and some of the world-building could have been streamlined. Overall, though, Warmage is a fantastic listen that's well worth your time.
