It’s effective in keeping momentum, but it also makes the runtime feel longer than the 8 hours and 47 minutes claim. The anonymous author’s decision to withhold their role within the administration is both a strength and a frustration—some passages assume you already know the hierarchy, leaving key dynamics frustratingly vague. Still, this is the closest thing we’ll ever get to a fly-on-the-wall account of Trump’s White House, and Hoffmann’s performance ensures it’s unforgettable.
