As the story unfolds, subtle changes in cadence and tone signal inner shifts you can feel in your chest. One moment that got me: a simple line about washing dishes, delivered with a cracked whisper, that suddenly revealed years of loneliness. The chemistry between the leads builds so gradually you don’t notice until you’re emotionally invested. That said, the middle sags a bit—some scenes linger too long without advancing tension. And while Everly avoids melodrama, a tighter edit could’ve helped pacing.
