I was thrilled to dive into this audiobook and experience Simon's initial steps into the world of Shadowhunters. Devon Bostick's narration truly shines in this short but satisfying story, bringing a sense of energy and optimism to Simon's journey. Clare's masterful storytelling creates a rich atmosphere that's both fast-paced and thought-provoking. One aspect that stood out to me was the way Clare subtly explores the consequences of Simon's past experiences as a vampire, adding depth to his character development. If I have any criticism, it's that the supporting cast feels a tad underdeveloped in this first installment, leaving room for further development in subsequent stories. Nonetheless, Welcome to Shadowhunter Academy remains an electrifying introduction to the world of Shadowhunters.
