As a listener, I was immediately drawn into Callie's world, a place that feels both familiar and sinister. Kydd and Russell's narration is exceptional, seamlessly switching between characters and capturing the nuances of each voice. The pacing is taut, building tension like a slow-burn thriller. Granata's exploration of abuse and its insidious effects is both powerful and poignant. My only critique is that some secondary characters feel underdeveloped, but this is a minor quibble in an otherwise outstanding audiobook. What's Left of Me is a stark reminder that not everything is as it seems, and a compelling listen for anyone who enjoys complex characters and dark, twisty plots.
