I was hooked from the get-go, thanks to the irresistible dynamic between our narrators. Mia Madison's portrayal of our confident, no-nonsense heroine is a joy to listen to, while Ash Beverly's Alexander is equal parts infuriating and irresistible. Their chemistry is off the charts, and their banter is so real, it feels like eavesdropping on a couple's private conversation. The pacing is spot-on, balancing slow-burn tension with quick-witted humor and heartwarming moments. My only critique? I wish there was more of Alexander's backstory to fully understand his motivations. But that's a small price to pay for such an enjoyable listen.
