Whiskey Lullaby

I went into Whiskey Lullaby with high expectations, and Stevie J. Cole delivered – but not without leaving me with a few nagging questions. As an editor, I appreciate the author's willingness to tackle tough subjects, and the dual-narration approach works beautifully in conveying the intensity of the relationship between the leads. That being said, I found myself getting frustrated with the protagonist's inconsistent behavior, particularly in the final act. It's a minor quibble, but one that made me wonder if the character's growth was genuine or simply a product of convenience.
