I was immediately drawn into 'Witches' Bane' by its engaging premise and Julia Gibson's excellent narration. She captures the essence of each character, from the pragmatic China Bayles to the enigmatic Ruby, making them all feel like old friends. However, I must admit, I found the resolution of the mystery a tad too neat, which was my only critique.
