About This Audiobook

K'wan's 'Wrath' is a raw, unapologetic dive into the streets, where power is the currency and alliances shift like quicksand. Jonas, our protagonist, is a young man on the rise, and his life takes a dramatic turn when he crosses paths with the enigmatic Detective Lou Ceavers. Ceavers, with his gruff exterior and hidden heart, becomes Jonas's unlikely mentor, guiding him through the treacherous landscape of the underworld. What sets this audiobook apart is its unflinching exploration of loyalty, betrayal, and the complex bonds that form between men in a world where the rules are constantly changing. B. Lipton Bennett's narration brings this gritty world to life, his deep, resonant voice perfectly capturing the tough-guy dialogue and the subtle nuances of emotion that lie beneath the surface.

Editor's Review ★★★★☆

AudioBook Atlas

B. Lipton Bennett's narration is a standout feature of 'Wrath'. His ability to switch between characters, from the tough, street-smart Jonas to the gruff, world-weary Ceavers, is nothing short of impressive. He imbues each character with a distinct voice and personality, making it easy to keep track of the large cast. The pacing is excellent, with Bennett's measured delivery keeping the tension high even during the quieter moments. The production quality is top-notch, with no background noise or audio artifacts to detract from the listening experience. However, I found the frequent use of street slang to be a bit distracting at times, and I wish there had been more variation in the musicality of Bennett's delivery. Overall, though, 'Wrath' is a compelling listen that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end.
