I was thoroughly charmed by this audiobook, which had me laughing out loud one moment and eagerly anticipating the next epic battle the next. Lewis Alexander and Rozelyn Rader's narration is top-notch, with a perfect balance of wit and enthusiasm that perfectly captures the book's tone. My only minor quibble is that the pacing can feel a bit rushed at times, particularly in the book's final act – but this is a minor complaint in an otherwise excellent listening experience. One of the things that really stands out about this audiobook is the way it uses humor to subvert expectations and add depth to the story. Karevik's writing is full of clever references and clever wordplay, and the narration brings these elements to life in a way that's both entertaining and engaging.
