Absinthe Dreams

I was hooked from the very first sentence, drawn into the intricate web of relationships that make up Absinthe Dreams. The dual narration is a stroke of genius, allowing listeners to fully immerse themselves in the minds of the two protagonists. Aaron Shedlock's deep, resonant voice lends itself perfectly to the brooding, protective hero, while CJ Bloom's warm, expressive tone brings a vulnerability and strength to the heroine that had me rooting for her from the start. The pacing is steady, allowing the tension to build organically, and the production is flawless, with no jarring transitions between narrators. My only critique is that I wish the audiobook had been a little longer, as I found myself wishing for more time with these characters once the story came to a close. But even with that minor complaint, Absinthe Dreams is a standout listen that will leave you craving more from Nichole Rose and this talented duo of narrators.
