I’ll admit, I was skeptical when I first saw this collection. Romance + heists + Vegas + accidental marriage? It sounded like a grab-bag of tropes, but Wylder pulls it off with such gleeful abandon that skepticism feels beside the point. The first story, *Accidentally Married to a Mercenary*, is the strongest—a whirlwind of snappy dialogue, razor-thin moral lines, and a heroine whose brain is both her greatest asset and her biggest liability. The mercenary, Jude, is the fantasy every romance reader craves: dangerous, loyal, and unexpectedly tender. Szenfeld sells his gruff charm and slow-burn devotion with effortless charisma, though I do wish the side characters had a bit more texture. The second story, *Accidentally His*, is lighter but no less fun, trading heists for a high-society revenge plot that’s pure wish fulfillment. Pacing dips slightly in the middle, but the chemistry between the leads saves it from feeling like filler. That said, the production doesn’t quite match the polish of the storytelling. The audio quality is crystal clear, but some sound effects—like the clink of poker chips or the *thwack* of a safe clicking open—feel superimposed, almost like a video game. It’s a minor distraction, but one that jolts you out of the immersion when it happens. Still, these are nitpicks. By the third story, *Accidentally Together*, I was fully invested, laughing at the banter and gripping the arms of my chair during the climax. If you love your romance with a side of mischief and a hero who’s equal parts rogue and heartbreaker, this series is a safe bet. Just maybe don’t listen while you’re operating heavy machinery—you might get distracted by the sheer delight of it all.
