This audiobook is a rollercoaster of emotions, with laughter and tears coming in equal measure. Jacobs' writing is refreshing, her characters feel real, and their banter is top-notch. Roeg and Zeller's dual narration is a treat, with Roeg's deadpan delivery of Lily's quips stealing the show. The pacing is perfect, never lingering too long on the angst, and always ready with a joke to lighten the mood. My only critique is that I wish we'd seen more of the initial relationship between Alex and his love interest, but that's a small price to pay for such an engaging listen.
