As I listened to All the Broken Places, I found myself completely immersed in the world of the Byrne family, their secrets, their struggles, and their resilience. The narrative is expertly woven, with multiple storylines that unfold at a measured pace, refusing to let up until the very end. Kristin Atherton and Helen Lloyd's narration is top-notch, bringing depth and emotion to each character, even as they shift seamlessly between different voices and accents. One thing that stood out to me was the way the narrators handled the complex relationships between the characters – it's a testament to their skill that the listener can feel the tension and love emanating from the pages. If I have any criticism, it's that the audiobook's production could have benefited from a more distinct chapter separation – at times, it felt like I was navigating a long, continuous stream of narrative rather than distinct sections. However, this is a minor quibble in an otherwise exceptional listening experience.
