Niamh Cusack's performance as Willow Hale is nothing short of stellar, delivering Vanessa Carvin’s quiet desperation with a soft, resonant voice that perfectly captures the character’s reserved nature. The pacing is deliberate and thoughtfully paced, mirroring the slow, meandering pace of the island itself. Yet, moments of tension are expertly handled, creating a compelling balance between introspection and action. One minor critique is that some of the dialogue feels slightly stilted at times, which occasionally pulls the listener out of the narrative. However, these are overshadowed by the overall emotional depth and the haunting beauty of the story.
