The narration in Amorph is a standout feature. S T A R R (Busby) leads the ensemble with a dynamic range that brings out the best in each story. Chris Attoh's smooth baritone and Amanda Turen's emotive delivery are particular highlights. The production is slick, with sound effects and music that enhance the storytelling without overwhelming it. Pacing is excellent, with each story given time to breathe before moving on to the next. My only critique is that some of the more subtle nuances in Jemisin's writing could have been emphasized more in the narration. Overall, Amorph is a fantastic listen for anyone looking for a bite-sized taste of Jemisin's genius.
