AudioBook Atlas

As a fan of both political intrigue and sci-fi, I was immediately drawn into 'Assassinorum: Kingmaker'. The story is a masterclass in tension-building, with each mission feeling like a high-stakes gamble. Armstrong's narration is a perfect fit for this grimdark universe, his voice capturing the cold, calculating nature of the assassins. The pacing is excellent, never lingering too long on exposition or action. However, I did find some of the political machinations a tad confusing at times, which might be a challenge for listeners new to the Warhammer 40,000 universe. Overall, though, this is a thrilling ride that had me on the edge of my seat until the very end.
