I was hooked from the very first chapter. Baldacci's storytelling is as sharp as ever, with twists and turns that I didn't see coming. Godec's narration is a standout feature of this audiobook. She expertly captures the raw emotion and inner turmoil of Mace Perry, making her a character you can't help but root for. The pacing is excellent, with a balance of action and suspense that keeps you engaged throughout. My only critique is that some of the supporting characters could have been more fully developed, but this is a minor quibble in an otherwise outstanding thriller. If you're a fan of complex, flawed protagonists and non-stop action, this audiobook is a must-listen.
