Bar None

As a self-proclaimed mystery junkie, I was immediately drawn to Bar None's unique setting and plucky protagonist, Piper. Ray has a knack for creating relatable, flawed characters that you can't help but root for. The story moves at a steady clip, with just the right amount of red herrings to keep you guessing until the very end. Jenn Lee's narration is spot-on, capturing Piper's snarky wit and vulnerability with equal measure. However, I must admit, the occasional Florida colloquialisms did take a moment to adjust to. But once I did, it was smooth sailing. I only wish I could've spent more time with these characters; the story felt a tad rushed towards the end. Overall, Bar None is a standout listen that'll leave you craving more of Piper's adventures.
