Barbarian’s Taming

I devoured Barbarian's Taming in a single listening session, and I'm not ashamed to admit that I did so while fanning myself. Dixon's world-building is impressive, with intricate details about the alien species and their culture that make the story feel truly otherworldly. However, it's the characters that really shine here. Zoe is a heroine you can't help but root for, and Vektal's quiet strength is incredibly appealing. Mason Lloyd's narration of Vektal is particularly noteworthy, capturing the alien warrior's gruff exterior and tender heart. The pacing is spot-on, with a good balance of action, romance, and humor. My only critique is that some of the secondary characters could have been more fully developed, but that's a minor quibble in an otherwise excellent audiobook.
