Beating the Wrap

As someone who enjoys a good cozy mystery, I was excited to dive into Beating the Wrap. From the first few minutes, I was hooked by the inviting Southern accent of Amy Melissa Bentley's narration. She perfectly captures the warmth and charm of the small-town setting, making it feel like a cozy, welcoming embrace. The story itself is well-crafted, with a Thanksgiving backdrop that adds a touch of heartwarming nostalgia to the mix. Julie Anne Lindsey's writing shines in the way she develops the characters and weaves the mystery together. However, I found that the pacing could have been more evenly distributed at times, as some sections felt a bit rushed, which took me out of the story briefly. Despite this minor critique, Beating the Wrap is a delightful escape that I highly recommend to cozy mystery enthusiasts looking for a fresh and engaging listen.
