Beneath the Twisted Trees

I was thoroughly captivated by Beneath the Twisted Trees, and Kate Reading's narration was a key factor in my engagement with the story. Her voice has a way of drawing listeners in, making us feel like we're experiencing Çeda's journey firsthand. However, I did find the pacing of the audiobook to be a bit uneven at times, with some scenes feeling a bit rushed and others dragging on slightly. Additionally, I would have liked to see a bit more development of the supporting characters, particularly those outside of Çeda's immediate circle. Despite these minor quibbles, I found Beneath the Twisted Trees to be a compelling and immersive listen, with Beaulieu's world-building and character development on full display. Reading's performance is consistently strong, and her ability to convey the sense of tension and urgency that defines the story is truly impressive. Overall, I would highly recommend this audiobook to fans of epic fantasy and those looking for a gripping, thought-provoking listen.
