As a listener, I was immediately drawn into Riley's world, thanks to Krystal Hammond's spot-on narration. She captures the essence of a typical teen, making Riley's descent into terror all the more chilling. The story is paced perfectly, with just the right amount of build-up and suspense. Crowley's writing is sharp and engaging, with a great balance of dialogue and action. My only critique is that some of the secondary characters could have been more fully developed, but overall, Body Count is a thrilling listen that's perfect for anyone looking for a spooky twist on the classic teen beach read.
