Maker Space

As an audiobook editor, I was blown away by the sheer scope and complexity of K.B. Spangler's Maker Space. From the opening scene, I was hooked by the propulsive narrative and Rachel's tough, street-smart persona. Krystal Hammond's narration is top-notch, bringing a depth and nuance to the story that makes it impossible to look away. However, at times I felt that the supporting cast was slightly underdeveloped, with some characters feeling more like caricatures than fully fleshed-out people. That being said, the strengths of the story far outweigh its weaknesses. Spangler's world-building is meticulous and immersive, painting a vivid picture of a high-tech future where the boundaries between human and machine are increasingly blurred. The pacing is relentless, with each chapter ending on a cliffhanger that left me scrambling to get to the next one. If you're a fan of fast-paced thrillers with a techno-savvy twist, you'll find yourself devouring Maker Space in short order. Just be prepared to stay up late, as this audiobook is almost impossible to put down!
