Brandr

Having listened to countless audiobooks, I can confidently say that Brandr by Ashe Barker, narrated by Emma Parry, is one of the most captivating listens I've experienced. Parry's captivating voice and flawless portrayal of the complex characters make it impossible not to be drawn into the world of Viking warriors and the women who challenge them. The pacing is masterfully done, allowing listeners to fully immerse themselves in the story without feeling overwhelmed. One of the standout aspects of this audiobook is the dynamic range of emotions portrayed by Parry, from the fear and despair of Eithne to the fierce protectiveness of Brandr. However, the one area that could use some improvement is the development of secondary characters, as they feel somewhat underwhelming in comparison to the main protagonists.
