The scene where the men debate whether to eat a half-rotten hare—while joking about which of them would taste better—is the kind of moment that sticks with you. That said, the Virtual Voice narration is a double-edged gladius. Its monotone works for the bleak atmosphere, but during emotional beats (like Paternus’s quiet breakdown over a lost comrade), the lack of inflection can make it hard to connect.
