I devoured But Knot For Me in one sitting, and I'm not ashamed to admit it. Margaret Strom's narration is a big part of the reason – she brings Casey Feldstein to life with a perfect balance of warmth and strength. Hechtman's writing is, as always, top-notch, and she knows just when to pull the reader in tight. I did find myself occasionally getting lost in the sea of supporting characters, and I wish the mystery had been a bit more tightly wound. Still, these are minor quibbles in what's otherwise a superb addition to the Yarn Retreat Mystery series. If you're a fan of amateur sleuths, cozy mysteries, or just great storytelling in general, you owe it to yourself to give But Knot For Me a try.
