Butterfly Kisses

I devoured Butterfly Kisses in a single, mesmerizing listen. Michael Pauley's narration is superb, bringing a depth and nuance to Detective Drake that's hard to resist. The pacing is relentless, with a narrative that's both propulsive and tightly wound. One of the standout elements is the way the story expertly juggles multiple plot threads, slowly revealing a complex web of deceit and corruption. My only quibble is that some of the supporting characters feel a bit underdeveloped, and a couple of the plot twists feel slightly predictable. Still, these are minor complaints in an otherwise outstanding audiobook. The production quality is top-notch, with clear, crisp audio that's a joy to listen to.
